Hello Morton Wrestling Family -

What a fantastic day of wrestling! Today we became Regional Champs for only the third time in program history. We ended up edging out Bloomington Evans by 5.5 points to claim the title. This was a FANTASTIC team effort. There were plenty of ups and downs throughout the day, but we controlled our response and found a way to win. We ended the day with 13 placers.

Next week, we will compete in the IESA Sectional, which will be held at The Bowl in Jacksonville. More details on Sectionals will come out later in the week.

Practice This Week
ALL Regional placers (1st-4th) are required to be at practice this week. All other team members are welcome and encouraged to attend practice to continue to work on their skills and still develop. If you are not planning on attending practice, you MUST email me to let me know. That way I can plan practice and know how big of a practice mat we need to set up. If you are asked by a Sectional Qualifier to help them prepare for the tournament, you should consider that an honor. That means that a teammate believes that you are the best person to help them prepare for a chance to qualify for the State Tournament.
I will not be collecting equipment until after the State Tournament. So please don't bring it until I am ready to collect.
